Once again it's Sexarathon time and there was a great turn out, I nearly did not do the race because as we approached the drive up to the hall I came across all that lovely wood for my Rayburn. I was thinking of stopping every one and giving them a bag to collect the wood but I thought I had better behave myself.
Once the race got underway I settled down and as we ran down the long road just before we moved on to the other road I turned round and there a long way back was one of our members Sarah, all on her own. Well I just could not leave her on her own so I kept her company and made sure she was ok and we kept going to the end. What a lot of support we had from everyone, it makes you feel great. I love that race and it was a PB from last year by about four minutes, not forgetting Janet Pugh who got a good PB. I am looking forward to the next one at Dawley. My time was 1:03:30
Hanchurch 4.85m - 10th April 7pm
This race is normally one big loop but because the winter weather had been so wet causing many trees to fall down and others had to be cut down ,so we did a double loop. We still had the big big hill to climb but the weather was ok with no wind. Off we went and I was well looked after by the back marker called Joyce who did not like running through the mud so while I ran straight through the middle she picked her way around. First time up the big hill seemed a bit hard but by the second time I was warmed up and ready for the attack and kept going. Lots of people waited for everyone to come in, I felt great and was pleased with my time. The next one is next Thursday which is the Milford Murder so I am looking forward to that. It was nice to see runners from Market Drayton and Newport RC

Pelsall 10k - 13th AprilAlthough the wind was very cold the sun came out and warmed us up by the time the race started. This race was a 10k and a 5k with 150 entries and it was organized by the Bloxwich & Phoenix rotary club.
There were two laps on grass and pavement,s the air cadets were very good and the back up man was Steve.
As I approached the last half mile I was accompanied by the air cadets which caused quite a stir. Janet also had a good run but we are unable to give the results owing to the break down of the website. I think I finished in 1:16 we had a goodie bag and nice medal.
