Midsummer Madness

It doesn't seem long ago that we were celebrating Kathy reaching her initial target of running 70 events in the year she turned 70 and here we all already nearly at 90. It has been a great week so far with a very generous donation to Kathy's fundraising for Marie Curie of £100 from the Bloxwich Phoenix Rotary Club. Mid -Summer 6 (10k) - 29th June

Janet and I travelled up to Wolverhampton for the Mid -Summer 6. The weather was ok with plenty of sunshine. This race started at Aldersley Leisure Village and this year the entries were down with 95 runners. It was lovely to see Sarah Green and Kim Richards.This race had a different route and was very well marshalled and friendly. Once you got around and up the hill it was lovely running along the narrow paths then a nice big field to run through and then back along the canal. There were a few steps but even with my little legs could managed them. My time was 1:30:52. I enjoyed it and would do it again.

Telford parkrun - 31st June

Saturday was a special day for the Williams  family as we were running in memory of Georgia. There was a very good turn out, my time was 38.02.
